Lee


The H.D. Lee Mercantile Co. is created in Salina, Kansas by pioneering entrepreneuer H.D. Lee. At first, the wholesale grocery company would be known for producing fine foods like ketchup and canned peaches.

Born in Vermont in 1849, little did Henry David Lee know his name would soon become a household American garment brand synonymous for reliability,durability and Innovation.

The story goes that H.D. Lee inspired by seeing his chauffeur fixing the car, get the idea to develop an overall that will protect the wearer below and abovee the waist, Lee garments are born.

It is perceived as a very unique advertising campaign because the content of Picture stories is personal and honest. The entries span different cultures and the themes are widely diverse, but they share the collective feel to the campaign that fostered a sense of unity - an expression to PASSION.

The brand was created in 1986 in Cebu City, Philippines by Bernie Liu and A Group of friends who were in tune with the needs and lifestyle
of the local Youth. LIU, who would later become Chief Executive Officer of the clothing brand, broke into the youth Market with unique, HIP Graphic T-Shirts - Perfect for the Filipino Student's Wardrobe.

After conquering the Market in
