It all started in July 2002, in Boulder , Colorado when George Boedecker, Scott Seamans and Duke Hanson decided to market an unusual shoe developed and manufactured by Foam Creations, Inc.

Originally intended as a boating/outdoor shoe because of its slip-resistant, non-marking sole, Crocs™ introduced it’s first Beach Model in November 2002 at the Florida Boat Show and sold out in two days. From there, popularity mushroomed. Sales poured in. By 2003 Crocs had become a bona-fide phenomenon, universally accepted as an all purpose shoe for comfort and fashion.

From 2003-2004 Crocs focused on accommodating our remarkable growth while maintaining control. In the 70's and 80's however, the scenario gradually but progressively changed time became such a precious and very limited commodity; vehicular traffic became daily nightmares; and people who specialized in tailoe-made clothes for men were a rare find their rates have gone way above the means of the ordinary man.

These observations crystalized in the minds of a young married couple in 1991. The company was named after a biblical character in the new testament (from the letter st. Paul to philemon) , who was once a runaway, useless slave but was dramatically transformed by christ to live a life befitting his beautiful name useful.

Innovation particularly in its barong line, has made onesimus stand out form the racks the very first time its first collection was launched.
